Wow, my early childhood memory is this book. Love it. So imagine my excitement when a client asked I design not one but THREE birthday hats with this theme. She wanted one for little Henry, his dad and herself. What fun parents!!

Boys Are Easy
Or so you would think. I don't get to many orders for boy hats strangely enough. But lately I have had a number of orders. What I have learned about boy's decor is that you have be careful to keep it masculine yet cute. I think I got it down with this one.

Not Just For Kids
Sometimes I forget PaperCuts isn't just for kids. I love designing for adults too, always a challenge. This invitation design was a fun mix of sassy and typography.

Oh Happy Day
Oh Happy "Birth" Day that is. Flynn is such a happy toddler, his mommy wanted his first party to be nothing but smiles. So I made a happy hat, centerpiece and sign to celebrate the special day.
Oh don't forget his cute little banner!

Royal Princess Tea Party (Part 2)
Sometimes its nice to come out from behind the paper and actually get my hands dirty throwing a party. A very sweet customer of mine basically told me she didn’t want to have to worry about anything for her daughter’s party but to show up and have it look fabulous. She wanted Claire’s 5th birthday to be amazing… and it was!
I had a blast decorating for this party. The devil was in the details, from the gloves to the silver chargers. This party was nicer than my wedding. Probably because I didn't have custom paper chandeliers, which came out amazing if I do say so myself.

Crown Fit for a Princess (Part 1)
In preparation for a royal tea party, I was asked to make
hats for the birthday girl and royal guest.
We settled on lavender and teal for the color scheme and it came out
perfect. Just wait till you see the tea
party!
Princess Claire's Crown
Royal Guest Hats
Oh and how cute are these invitations! I cut them to look like over-sized tea bags.
